RADNOR, Pa. – An explosive first half helped push the Haverford College women's lacrosse team to a 16-5 non-conference victory over host Cabrini College Tuesday afternoon.

The Fords (3-0) used a five-goal burst spanning eight minutes early in the half and another salvo of three goals in 78 seconds late in the half to open up an 11-2 lead over the Cavaliers (0-1) by the intermission.

Kayleigh Herrick-Reynolds got Haverford rolling with a goal only 2:19 after the opening draw-control.

The flood-gates began opening at the 20:46 mark with Josie Ferri's tally, the first of five goals scored by Haverford in a little less than eight minutes.

Megan Gallagher and Kenny Likes followed Ferri's goal, then Herrick-Reynolds and Ferri each added their second of the game to stake the Fords to a 6-0 lead as the clock wound under 13 minutes to play in the period.

With under three minutes remaining before the break, Perrin Downing, Grace Stockbower and Alexa Pesce all found the back of the net for a goal apiece in a 78-second span.

Ferri and Alexa Bond kept the momentum rolling in early second-half action with goals before the period was even two minutes old.

Ferri finished with a game-high five goals and added four assists for a nine point outing. Stockbower was next in scoring for Haverford with three goals, including a free position goal, followed by Herrick-Reynolds' pair of markers. Six other Fords notched one goal in the victory.
