In the match clincher, the Fords owned a 20-17 advantage but weren't able to hold off a charging Hopkins squad in the 25-20 finale. Haverford opened up game one with a 5-1 lead and was tied at 14-14 before the host team rallied for a 25-20 victory. The teams were tied at 13-13 in the second game, but Hopkins again gained the advantage on the way to another 25-20 victory.
