HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's tennis team dropped it final match of the Centennial Conference schedule by a 9-0 count to No. 13 Johns Hopkins University Saturday afternoon at Marshall Courts.
Hopkins won all six singles matches in straight sets. Katie Drooyan came close to earning a first set victory at No. 4 singles, but fell to Andrea Berlinghof, 6-4.
The Fords are now 8-7 overall and finish the conference schedule at 7-3. The Blue Jays improve to 13-7 on the season and a perfect 10-0 in the Centennial.
Haverford has clinched fourth place in the Centennial Conference tournament and will face Hopkins again in the semifinal next Saturday, May 1. Dickinson College won Saturday over Washington College to secure third place.
