Mike Horowitz is entering his second season as an assistant coach with the Haverford College women's lacrosse team in 2016.

Horowitz joins the Fords’ staff from Pfeiffer University, where he coordinated a defense that ranked sixth in Division II in caused turnovers as part of the No. 14th-ranked team in the country. Horowitz coached one goalkeeper to All-America honors, along with three defensemen to the All-Conference Carolinas team.

Before joining Pfeiffer, Horowitz was the defensive assistant coach at Fairleigh Dickinson University for two seasons. During his short time at FDU, Horowitz coached one goalkeeper and two defensemen to All-Conference accolades. While a member of the Devils’ coaching staff, Horowitz earned his Master’s Degree in Corporate and Organizational Communications.

Horowitz currently plays with both the field and box Israeli National Teams and played collegiately at Muhlenberg College. He was a starting goalkeeper for three years and was an All-Centennial Conference selection both as a junior and a senior. Horowitz holds the record for saves in a game with 26 and is fourth all-time in career saves.
