Curran McCauley was promoted to Director of Athletic Communications at Haverford College in September 2021 after serving as Assistant Director of Sports Information since 2016. He oversees communications for Haverford’s 23 varsity programs and leads the department’s social and digital media strategy.

McCauley is a member of the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Division III weekly awards committee, a D3Baseball.com Top 25 poll voter, and serves as Softball Academic All-Area Coordinator for the Philadelphia Sports Information Directors Association. He was recently selected as a member of the 2024–25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Inclusion Fellowship, a cohort of 12 college sports communications professionals exploring and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in athletics communications and across college athletics.

Beyond Haverford, McCauley has contributed extensively to major sporting events in media operations. Most recently, he was part of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 Media Operations team in Philadelphia. He previously assisted the San Francisco Bay Area Super Bowl 50 Host Committee and supported numerous NCAA Championships in lacrosse, basketball, wrestling, and rowing, as well as two Ivy League Basketball Tournaments.

A Washington, D.C. native, McCauley joined Haverford after three years as a Media Relations Assistant at his alma mater, the University of the Pacific (Stockton, Calif.), where he was the primary contact for six varsity programs. He helped develop the athletic department’s first comprehensive social media strategy, provided data-driven digital insights to senior staff, and served as the primary statistician for men’s and women’s basketball as well as women's volleyball. He coordinated media efforts at the 2014 NorPac Field Hockey Championships and the 2015 Stockton Challenger USTA Pro Circuit professional women's tennis event.

McCauley managed social media channels for Pacific Men’s Water Polo during the 2013 NCAA National Collegiate Championship and transcribed postgame press conferences at the 2013 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championships in San Jose. He was also a contributing writer for USA Today’s College Basketball Preview Magazine for four years with a focus on the West Coast and Mountain West conferences.

McCauley earned both his B.A. in Sport Management and M.A. in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration from the University of the Pacific.

A resident of Ardmore, Pennsylvania, he is a devoted fan of the San Francisco Giants.
