Kaitlyn Dermen joined the Haverford College track and field coaching staff ahead of the 2025-2026 indoor season. 

Dermen comes to Haverford with coaching experience across multiple collegiate programs. She most recently served as the pole vault coach at Rider University, where she managed the day-to-day training of Division I vaulters. Prior to her time at Rider, she spent two seasons at Caldwell University as the sprints, jumps, and hurdles coach, designing and implementing training programs while assisting with team travel and athlete support.

Her coaching background is further strengthened by her work with Philadelphia Jumps Club, one of the largest track and field clubs in the world. Since 2020, Dermen has contributed to a wide range of operational responsibilities while also coaching youth athletes.

A 2018 graduate of Stockton University with a degree in mathematics, Dermen was one of the most accomplished pole vaulters in program history. She earned All-American honors in 2018 and won four NJAC pole vault titles during her career. A three-time USTFCCCA All-Region selection, she was also named the 2015 NJAC Rookie of the Year. Dermen served as team captain during her senior season and later went on to compete at the prestigious Millrose Games and USA Indoor Championships in 2024.
