PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Reza Eshghi of the Haverford College Men's Track & Field team competed in one final tune-up race before the highly anticipated NCAA Division III National Championships on March 14 and 15, 2025. The senior participated in the High Performance Men's One Mile Run at the Philadelphia Runner Track Club (PRTC) Indoor Classic. The competition took place in the brand-new, state-of-the-art Ott Center on the University of Pennsylvania campus.
The senior darted to a new personal best time of 4:04.14 for second place. Eshghi finished just behind former Haverford standout runner Jamie Moreland '23, who captured first place with a time of 4:00.29. The blazing time, which beat his previous personal best of 4:06.06, now puts Eshghi fifth all-time in Haverford history for the indoor mile.
Eshghi will now look ahead to tomorrow's announcement of the NCAA Division III National Championship qualifiers, where he is eligible to represent the Fords in the mile run or the 3,000 meters. The championships begin on Friday, March 14, in Rochester, N.Y.
