HAVERFORD, Pa. — Haverford College's men's and women's fencing teams have been recognized by the United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA) as 2024-25 All-Academic Teams, the organization announced in a release on Tuesday.
The men's team posted a 3.75 in-season team GPA, ranking third nationally behind Duke University (3.86) and Vassar College (3.82). The women's team was also selected as an All-Academic Team, joining 19 other programs recognized for academic achievement during the season. The women's team GPA was eighth in the nation and fourth among Division III teams.
In addition to team recognition, the USFCA will award individual honors to student-athletes who recorded a GPA of 3.3 or higher during the fencing season. Athletes with a 3.7 GPA or higher will receive Scholar of Distinction status. Certificates will be distributed to member institutions later this summer.
