HAVERFORD, Pa. — The Haverford College men's basketball team has announced its 2025–26 schedule, highlighted by a strong non-conference slate and a challenging Centennial Conference campaign that features 27 matchups, which includes 13 home contests inside Gooding '84 Arena. Returning to the sidelines for his eighth season with the Scarlet and Black is Patrick Doherty, who will be looking to guide the Fords back to the Centennial Conference playoffs for the first time since the 2019-2020 season.
The season officially tips off on November 8 under the lights of Gooding '84 Arena against Valley Forge, marking the first of three straight home games to open the year. The Fords continue their homestand with matchups against Rosemont (Nov. 12) and Misericordia (Nov. 15) before heading on the road for the first time to face Immaculata (Nov. 19).
Haverford returns home for two more contests before the Thanksgiving break, welcoming Penn State Abington (Nov. 22) and Delaware Valley (Nov. 25) to Gooding '84 Arena.
Following the short break, the Fords embark on a challenging three-game road swing, taking on Arcadia (Dec. 3), Neumann (Dec. 6), and Penn State Berks (Dec. 10). The calendar year concludes with a New Year's Eve matchup at Goucher (Dec. 31), giving the Scarlet and Black one final non-conference test before the new year.
The Fords ring in 2026 back on their home court, hosting Marywood (Jan. 3) before officially entering Centennial Conference play. Haverford opens league action with a trip to Franklin & Marshall (Jan. 7), followed by its first home conference matchup against Muhlenberg (Jan. 10). The Fords then travel to Ursinus (Jan. 14) before returning home to host Dickinson (Jan. 17).
The final stretch of January includes a home contest against Washington College (Jan. 24) and a visit from Johns Hopkins (Jan. 31), both key Centennial matchups.
As February arrives, the Fords hit the road for a series of tough contests, beginning with McDaniel (Feb. 7) and Gettysburg (Feb. 14). The Hood Trophy Rivalry highlights the regular season on February 21, when Haverford hosts Swarthmore for its home finale, Alumni Day, and Senior Day.
The postseason begins shortly thereafter, with the Centennial Conference Tournament set to open on February 24. The semifinals follow on February 27, with the championship game being held on February 28.
