WALTHAM, Mass. – The Haverford College women's fencing team edged out NJIT by a 14-13 score to highlight its weekend at the Sollee Invitational on the campus of Brandeis. The weekend's bouts were the final competition before the EWFC and NIWFA Championships in the coming weeks.

She was a perfect 3-0 in the squad's triumph over Brandeis, while also adding two wins in sabre's success against NJIT and Brandeis. Co-captain Alexandra Morrison nearly matched her teammate with a 10-5 record. Emily Brown recorded 2-1 records against NJIT and Brandeis, adding to those squad wins while being subbed out in sabre's third victory.

Kopits also recorded two wins against Boston College and MIT. Zuyi Wang picked up victories in four different rounds, while Jia-Ming Tuan showed tremendous growth throughout the day, headlined by wins against MIT and Brown in the final two rounds.
