Sophomore Goals and Content

  • The Major Decision:  discussion and tips on making this important decision.  How a liberal arts background gives you a wide variety of options, regardless of your major selection.
  • Tips on your summer search and starting early.
  • Becoming aware of the College Internship Funding programs.
  • Discussion of what college athletics means to you and how to market these skills to employers.
  • The benefits of studying abroad and preparing for the experience.
  • Tips, strategies and steps to help guide you (handout).
  • Diving deep in LinkedIn and the Haverford alumni network.

Junior Goals and Content

  • Receive info on making the most of your important junior summer.
  • Strategies on your summer search and starting early.
  • Apply to relevant College Internship Funding programs.
  • Discussion of the benefits of being a part of college athletics – how employers highly regard the time commitment, working with a team, ability to juggle multiple commitments.
  • Discussion of the positive aspects of a study abroad experience and how to make the most of the experience.
